Tyler & Shabnam – A Real Wedding Story

THE LOVE STORY

HOW DID YOU MEET? We met on the dating app Hinge!
WHAT ATTRACTED HER TO HIM? I thought Tyler was very good looking, well dressed and he seemed really sweet and caring. He was also very spontaneous and that was fun. A few months after we met, I took a 3-month trip to Europe and he actually came to visit me in France!
WHAT ATTRACTED HIM TO HER? I had an immediate physical attraction to Shab. As I got to know her, I better understood how sweet and thoughtful she is. As our relationship progressed, we got closer and closer.
YOUR PROPOSAL STORY: Tyler: Shab knew I had the ring and I am not good at hiding things, so I started to take her out to random nice dinners to trick her to think I was going to do it :). After she pretty much gave up, we took a trip to Southern California to see friends and on the way we stopped at Quail Lodge in Carmel. When we got there, I saw this beautiful bridge on the golf course and knew I was going to do it there. After a few espressos, we took a walk and I proposed on a bridge. It was only after the proposal that I realized there were holes in the bridge. Luckily I did not drop the ring. Coincidentally, the staff was having a meeting inside and after we kissed we heard all these cheers. Later they brought us champagne!

THE WEDDING

FAVORITE PART OF THE WEDDING: The party! Everyone was dancing and having a lot of fun.
MOST UNEXPECTED PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY: Our wedding photographer. She was so great and brought amazing energy to the wedding! She made me (Tyler) laugh a lot.
WHAT, IF ANYTHING, WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY? We wouldn’t do anything differently.
YOUR ADVICE FOR OTHER BRIDES-TO-BE: Our wedding felt particularly special because we only invited people whom we regularly communicate. It was a tight knit wedding and that led to a really positive and comfortable experience for everyone.
ADVICE FROM THE GROOM: It all depends on your relationship. What worked for me was to go with the flow and let Shab take charge.
