Your proposal story:
We went on our annual family camping trip to Rollins Lake on Friday 6/24/22 with his mom Tammy, husband Gerald and their two dogs. Our three dogs and my brother Brandon came along. We got two camp sites and on ours we had the coolest set up. My brother brought along his Xbox and laptop for hotspot, I had brought the projector and screen so we could watch movies under the stars it was a great first night. On Saturday 6/25/22 we had plans to go down to the lake with the dogs after lunch because my dad Gary and mother Paris were coming up to spend the day with us all. After they showed up, they ate and we were getting ready to head to the water when my sister Jasmine and her husband Anthony showed up to hang out. Turned out to be a big family fest. We headed to the water had fun down there everyone swimming and the dogs jumping in was a fun sight to see. We headed back to get dinner started. Playing music, vibing out, everyone having fun in the heat was just a perfect time to all be together. As we were eating you hear this big cheer, a few campsites down a couple had just got married and I turned to DJ and was like wouldn’t that be cool if we could get married out here in the woods. He replied yeah that would be cool too. Not even a couple seconds later he gets up and says he has something he would like to ask me, “Paris, I love you and want to be with you for the rest of my life, (gets on one knee) and asked “Will you Marry Me?” I couldn’t stop cheesing because I’m thinking is this really happening, and said, “Yes DJ I will marry you!” What makes our proposal story beautiful is for one, we got engaged year 7, 3 months before our 8th anniversary, second I had been wearing this fake engagement ring to taunt him because I said I don’t need the most expensive ring in the world, I’ll wear this if you just propose already, lol, he can’t saying no I’m going to do it my way and with a real beautiful ring. Third the way he went to ask my dad and pretend to me he was going to the store the night before we left camping and I asked if I could come and he told me no just stay here, relax and I will bring dinner home afterwards, I nagged a bit but was like okay I will stay home. So all my family knew this was going to happen, a well-planned camping trip to get engaged at the same time, but the kicker was they kept the secret from my mom. My dad actually kept a secret which was mind blowing, lol, sorry daddy but the fact my mother didn’t till the actual day made that even more special. Lastly because I had always told DJ when this special moment happens I want my nails done, hair done and looking bomb in a dress, but the reason why I love him so much is that fact that he did it with our loved ones around (even though he told me he wanted to propose our first night by the campfire but fires had been not allowed at the time) but it was because ever since the day we made it official he has always called me beautiful, no matter what I was wearing, how I was looking, he saw beauty no matter what. The way he threw that fake ring off my finger, priceless. In the end he proposed to me out in the woods, looking all bummy, but in his eyes he saw beautiful.
